Battle Cry; Ops, Sylith Tech 1, costs 2 Energy.
Explore: Discard- Add 2 troops to a sector you are invading.
So, at the moment is it fair to say this is a pointless card/a dead draw in your hand? It doesn’t have the same applications Support Crew has, and maybe that wasn’t the intention behind the card.
However, since the Justice, the Invade 1 Tech 1 ship that needs it more than the Kin does, doesn’t work right now due to issues with the Prepared tag, is it safe to say Battle Cry is not working as intended right now as well?
Because in a deck with kins, at best this is a winmore card. at worst it’s literally useless/a dead draw. I know there’s other lower Invade level ships in Sylith, but those aren’t tech 1, and since the other tech 1 ship doesn’t work right now, you’re probably running Kins which are Invade 3 to do the meat of your invading. and Kin and Battle Cry have kind of winmorey antisynergy. The only time you’d play it when invading with a Kin is either you’re worred about Support Crew getting played in response to an invasion attempt, to overcome high +troop developments (when you could just bomb or Ground/Elite strike it.) or I dunno.
Seems right now you’d be better off using that 2 energy along with 4 resources building another Kin.
Then again, this card will probably be better once Justice gets fixed. It’ll be a good card in a deck running Justice over Kin. But ti says something how weak this card seems to be compared to Support Crew. At which point I ask, why not splash support crew into your tech pool instead of have this be a dead draw? Support crew is too good to ever be a dead draw, and in a Sylith tech pool, it blows battle cry out of the water currently. (Consider how much Sylith ships can move and set up that unique use of support crew.)
